Handel’s Messiah: CVE’s special version of this choral classic
for the holiday season, presented with an expanded twenty-voice choir and chamber orchestra. Vocal soloists include Karen Dumont, Loralyn Light, Patrice Pastore, Fran Shumway, Jennifer Sisbarro, Steven Shumway, Daniel Gurvich, and Ross Mizrahi. The orchestra features concertmistress Linda Case and many of Ithaca’s finest performers, including string players Rebecca Ansel, Melissa Stucky, Liz Simkin, Michael Fittipaldi, harpsichordist William Cowdery, and organist George Damp. Performed in the glorious setting of downtown Ithaca’s First Presbyterian Church, this is a holiday concert not to miss. Bring the whole family! With Lawrence Doebler, musical director.
