“Heaven & Earth”: Music at St. Luke once again welcomes the Cayuga Vocal Ensemble in another exciting collaboration. Jeffrey Snedeker and Erik Kibelsbeck (organ) will perform Louis Vierne’s Messe Solenelle for choir and two organs (featuring the French Romantic organ plus harmonium), a set of Shaker Songs, and set of songs about romantic love by Britten, Finzi, Gregorio and others. The event is free and no ticket is required.

“Carols Across Cultures”: Our holiday concert will feature Britten’s Ceremony of Carols as well as traditional and new arrangements of carols by Craig Hella Johnson, Norwegian composer, Ola Gjello, and Swedish composer, Sofia Söderberg. Come join us for a holiday celebration with music sung in Norwegian, French, German, Spanish, and more. Admission is by free will donation, pay as you wish.

“Passages”: Cayuga Vocal Ensemble is excited to welcome Sean Linfors, the guest conductor for our spring concert. This concert explores the moments in time that build a life and fill a lifetime. You’ll hear a deeply-human spectrum of music from Johannes Brahms, rising star composer Dale Trumbore, and the extraordinary work performed in full “The Passing of the Year” by Jonathan Dove.  Tickets $15 in advance (online purchasing will re-open soon) or at Hickey’s Music, 104 Adams St., Ithaca) or $20 at the door.

This program is made possible, in part, with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County.
