Cornell’s Ensemble X presents BOULANGERIE 1 with works by Lili Boulanger, Walter Piston, Phillip Glass, Eliot Carter, Marc Blitzstein, and music by Cornellians Steven Stucky and Igor Santos, including the East coast premiere of Steven Stucky’s final work, The Music of Light, performed by the Cayuga Vocal Ensemble. Performers also include Xak Bjerken, Teagan Faran, Alexandra Jones, Ariel Mo, Guillaume Pirard, Rachel Schutz, Leo Sussman, Asher Wulfman, and Miri Yampolsky.

“CVE Sings”
Cayuga Vocal Ensemble is proud to present CVE Sings!, Music will include a Bach double-choir motet, Ich lasse dich nicht and a new work, Jahaaṅ, by contemporary composer Reena Esmail. This uplifting 5-movement work accompanied by four-hand piano and percussion features arrangements of Marathi, Gujarati, and Malayalam folk songs all touching on the feeling of home. The composer writes: “the music of these vibrant folk traditions in India, and I wanted choirs all over the world to experience them too.”
